Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ziti pasta
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 jar marinara sauce 24 oz
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook ziti pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Add marinara sauce, dried basil, and dried oregano to the pot. Stir to combine and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, mix cooked ziti pasta, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  • Pour half of the marinara sauce mixture into a baking dish. Add the pasta mixture on top, then pour the remaining sauce over the pasta.
  • Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

Feel free to add cooked ground beef or sausage for a heartier dish.
