Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
Spread the mashed potato mixture evenly in a baking dish.
Top with a layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
Arrange the tater tots on top of the cheese layer.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes:
For extra flavor, add cooked bacon bits to the mashed potato mixture.
