Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage casings removed
  • 12 oz pasta any short pasta
  • 1 jar marinara sauce 24 oz
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  • Add the sausage to the skillet and cook until browned. Break it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  • Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, sausage mixture, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

This casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated. Just bake it a bit longer if it's coming straight from the fridge.
