Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Press the meat mixture into a greased baking dish, forming an even layer.
Spread the prepared mashed potatoes over the meat layer.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the mashed potatoes.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the meat is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
