Enchilada sauce
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add taco seasoning and water according to package instructions. Simmer for a few minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine refried beans and salsa.
Spread a thin layer of enchilada sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
Place a tortilla in the dish, add a layer of the beef mixture, bean mixture, and cheese. Repeat layers, ending with a tortilla on top.
Pour remaining enchilada sauce over the top and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes:
Serve with sour cream, guacamole, and chopped cilantro if desired.
