Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the milk, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
Add the cooked macaroni and 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese to the saucepan. Stir until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Feel free to add some cooked bacon or ham for extra flavor.
