Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage shredded
  • 1 lb egg noodles
  • 1 lb bacon diced
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions: 

  • 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • 2. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • 3. In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pot.
  • 4. Add the butter to the pot with the bacon fat. Once melted, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  • 5. Add the shredded cabbage to the pot and cook until tender, about 10-15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • 6. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, cabbage mixture, and bacon. Mix well.
  • 7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until heated through and the top is slightly crispy.
  • 8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes:

This dish is great for family dinners and can be made ahead of time.
