Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
Place cubed bread in a greased baking dish. Top with cooked sausage.
Pour egg mixture over the bread and sausage. Press down to soak the bread.
Drizzle maple syrup over the top.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until set and golden brown.
Notes:
Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving to allow it to set properly.
