Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Breakfast sausage
  • 6 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 8 slices Bread cubed
  • 1/4 cup Maple syrup

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
  • Place cubed bread in a greased baking dish. Top with cooked sausage.
  • Pour egg mixture over the bread and sausage. Press down to soak the bread.
  • Drizzle maple syrup over the top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until set and golden brown.

Notes:

Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving to allow it to set properly.
