Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent.
Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped cabbage and the beef mixture. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes:
This casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated. Just bake it when you're ready to eat.
