Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add marinara sauce, basil, oregano, and garlic to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked noodles, meat sauce, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Mix well.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the casserole for extra flavor and nutrition.
