Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups Green Tomatoes sliced
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup Onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp Butter melted
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine sliced green tomatoes, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  • Layer half of the tomato mixture in a baking dish. Sprinkle half of the breadcrumbs and cheese over the tomatoes.
  • Repeat layers with remaining tomato mixture, breadcrumbs, and cheese.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Notes:

Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
