Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz Fideo pasta
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup Chopped onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can Tomato sauce (8 oz)
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook the fideo pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Combine the cooked fideo pasta with the beef mixture. Transfer to a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add some chopped bell peppers or corn for extra flavor and texture.
