Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Asparagus trimmed
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Blanch the asparagus in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Place the blanched asparagus in a baking dish and pour the cheese sauce over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
