Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Sausage sliced
  • 1 cup Wild Rice
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Celery chopped
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned.
  • Add onion, celery, and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until tender.
  • In a baking dish, combine wild rice, chicken broth, and cooked sausage mixture.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  • Cover and bake for 60 minutes or until rice is tender.
  • Uncover, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  • Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to this casserole for extra flavor and nutrition.
