Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned.
Add onion, celery, and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until tender.
In a baking dish, combine wild rice, chicken broth, and cooked sausage mixture.
Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
Cover and bake for 60 minutes or until rice is tender.
Uncover, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes:
Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to this casserole for extra flavor and nutrition.
