shredded Swiss cheese

Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft.
In a large bowl, combine noodles, sauerkraut, sour cream, Swiss cheese, and cooked onions. Mix well.
Season with salt and pepper.
Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes:
For a bit of extra flavor, you can add some cooked bacon or sausage to the mix.
