Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft.
  • In a large bowl, combine noodles, sauerkraut, sour cream, Swiss cheese, and cooked onions. Mix well.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes:

For a bit of extra flavor, you can add some cooked bacon or sausage to the mix.
