Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and grits, stirring constantly until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in cheese, milk, and black pepper until well combined.
Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with crumbled bacon.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
Notes:
Feel free to add some chopped green onions or a dash of hot sauce for extra flavor.
