Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups grits quick-cooking
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and grits, stirring constantly until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in cheese, milk, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with crumbled bacon.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

Feel free to add some chopped green onions or a dash of hot sauce for extra flavor.
