Ingredients:

Main Ingredients

  • 6 large Russet potatoes peeled
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Grated Gruyere cheese
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Butter melted

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Slice the potatoes thinly, but not all the way through, so they stay connected at the bottom.

  • In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, grated Gruyere cheese, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  • Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes, making sure it gets between the slices.
  • Brush the tops of the potatoes with melted butter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

For a crispier top, you can broil the casserole for the last 5 minutes of baking.
