Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.
Stir in tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a baking dish, layer half of the chopped cabbage, then the beef mixture, and top with the remaining cabbage.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

This casserole is perfect for a cozy family dinner.
