Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a baking dish with butter.
  • Place the bread cubes in the baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all pieces are coated.
  • In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Pour over the top of the casserole.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Great for a weekend brunch or holiday breakfast.
