Ingredients:

  • 6 cups bread, cubed day-old or slightly stale
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or your choice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup diced ham optional
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed bread, shredded cheese, milk, beaten eggs, diced ham (if using), salt, and black pepper.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and the casserole is set.
