Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Ground beef lean
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Bell pepper chopped
  • 2 cups Cooked rice
  • 1 cup Low-sodium tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until softened.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, tomato sauce, beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, and black pepper.
  • Add the cooked beef and vegetables to the mixing bowl and stir to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until heated through and slightly browned on top.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
