Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni uncooked
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 ounces)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Combine the cooked macaroni and beef mixture in a large baking dish. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the casserole for extra flavor and nutrition.
