Cauliflower and Cheese Casserole

Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 head Cauliflower cut into florets
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Butter melted
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Steam or boil cauliflower florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in 1.5 cups of shredded cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Combine the cheese sauce with the cauliflower and transfer to a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 0.5 cup of cheese on top.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.

Notes:

Feel free to add some breadcrumbs on top for extra crunch.
