tomato sauce

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until soft.
Stir in tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
In a baking dish, layer half of the zucchini slices. Pour half of the meat sauce over the zucchini. Repeat layers.
Top with shredded cheese.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes:
Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving to make it easier to cut and serve.
