sour cream

shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash.
In a mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, sour cream, cheddar cheese, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Garnish with chopped chives if desired. Serve warm.
Notes:
This casserole is a great side dish for any meal. You can also add bacon bits for extra flavor.
