Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Boil the potatoes in a large pot until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
Mash the potatoes until smooth. Stir in the milk, butter, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the mashed potatoes to a baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Notes:
You can add chopped chives or bacon bits on top for extra flavor.
