Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 6 large potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Boil the potatoes in a large pot until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
  • Mash the potatoes until smooth. Stir in the milk, butter, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the mashed potatoes to a baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

Notes:

You can add chopped chives or bacon bits on top for extra flavor.
