Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked turkey breast, chopped
  • 8 slices white bread, toasted
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 slices crispy cooked bacon
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens. Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In a baking dish, layer the toasted bread slices, turkey, and bacon. Pour the cheese sauce over the top.
  • Top with tomato slices and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

This casserole is perfect for using up leftover turkey. It's a comforting dish that's sure to please.
