Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
In a mixing bowl, combine the milk, beaten eggs, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
Layer half of the bread slices in the bottom of the baking dish.
Sprinkle half of the shredded Gruyere cheese and diced ham over the bread.
Top with the remaining bread slices.
Pour the milk and egg mixture evenly over the bread layers.
Sprinkle the remaining Gruyere cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is set.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes:
Great for brunch or a cozy dinner.
