Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a saucepan, bring water and salt to a boil. Gradually stir in grits. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat. Stir in cheese and butter until melted.
In a small bowl, combine milk and beaten eggs. Gradually stir into grits mixture.
Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
Bake for 45 minutes or until set and golden brown.
Notes:
Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving to firm up.
