Ingredients:

  • 4 cups sliced onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and translucent.
  • In a baking dish, layer the cooked onions, shredded cheese, and bread crumbs.
  • Pour the milk over the layers and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add other vegetables or proteins to this casserole to make it your own.
