Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.
  • Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Add frozen peas and carrots. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes on top and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.

Notes:

Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
