Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced onions, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, salt, and black pepper.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
In a separate bowl, mix crushed crackers with melted butter.
Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the onion mixture in the baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
