Runza Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess fat.
  • Add shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook until tender. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and spread it on the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Spread the beef and cabbage mixture over the dough. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  • Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

This casserole is a great way to enjoy the flavors of a traditional Runza without all the work.
