Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 can Chili beans (15 oz)
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 package Cornbread mix (8.5 oz)
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add chili beans and diced tomatoes to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through.
  • In a mixing bowl, prepare cornbread mix according to package instructions, using the milk and egg.
  • Spread the beef mixture in a baking dish. Sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  • Pour the cornbread batter over the top of the beef mixture.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cornbread is golden brown.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add more cheese on top if you like it extra cheesy!
