Instructions:
Preheat your smoker to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, chopped onions, and half of the shredded cheese.
Spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish.
Top with an even layer of frozen tater tots.
Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top.
Place the baking dish in the smoker and cook for 45 minutes, or until the tater tots are crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the smoker and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes:
This casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated until ready to smoke. Adjust cooking time if baking from cold.
