Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups ham diced
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, ham, and onion. Pour half of the sauce over the top. Repeat layers.
  • Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Notes:

Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving to allow it to set.
