Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain.
Mash the potatoes with garlic, milk, and butter until smooth.
Spread the mashed potatoes in a casserole dish. Top with shredded cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
Notes:
You can add some chopped chives or parsley on top for extra flavor and color.
