Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 large Onions thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 8 ounces Pasta uncooked
  • 1 cup Gruyere Cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese grated

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions, sugar, and salt. Cook until the onions are caramelized, about 20 minutes.
  • Add the beef broth and heavy cream to the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and add to the skillet. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with Gruyere and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

This dish pairs well with a simple green salad.
