Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
Place the cubed challah bread in a greased baking dish.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all pieces are well-coated.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
In a small bowl, mix together the topping sugar and ground cinnamon.
Brush the melted butter over the top of the casserole and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes:
Best served fresh, but can be reheated in the oven.
