Chili Mac Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can Tomato sauce (8 oz)
  • 1 can Kidney beans, drained and rinsed (15 oz)
  • 2 cups Elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add onion and garlic to the pot. Cook until softened.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in cooked macaroni and half of the shredded cheese.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish. Top with remaining cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes:

Feel free to add more spices or vegetables to suit your taste.
