South Dakota Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.75 oz
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.75 oz
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots 32 oz
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked beef, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream. Mix well.
  • Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with an even layer of tater tots.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Feel free to add your favorite veggies to the mix for extra flavor and nutrition.
