Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup rice cooked
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (15 oz)
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large pot, cook the cabbage in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same pot, cook the ground beef until browned. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  • Stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • In a baking dish, layer half of the cabbage, then half of the meat mixture. Repeat layers.
  • Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

Notes:

This dish is even better the next day!
