Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 6 large potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  • Add a layer of onions and half of the cheese.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onions, and cheese.
  • Pour the heavy cream over the layers.
  • Drizzle melted butter on top.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
