Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
Stir in the salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
Remove from heat and stir in 2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
Pour the macaroni and cheese mixture into a baking dish. Top with the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and the breadcrumbs.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes:
Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your spice preference.
