Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Elbow macaroni
  • 3 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
  • Stir in the salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  • Remove from heat and stir in 2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  • Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
  • Pour the macaroni and cheese mixture into a baking dish. Top with the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and the breadcrumbs.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your spice preference.
