Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the wild rice according to package instructions.
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until the onions are translucent.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked wild rice, ground beef mixture, beef broth, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

This casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated. Just bake it when you're ready to eat.
