Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, cook ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
Add tomato sauce to the beef mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine cooked noodles, sour cream, and cottage cheese. Mix well.
In a baking dish, layer half of the noodle mixture, followed by the beef mixture, and then the remaining noodle mixture.
Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes:
Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the beef mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
