Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions: 

  • 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • 2. Grease a baking dish and place the cubed French bread in it.
  • 3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
  • 4. Pour the mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all pieces are well-coated.
  • 5. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes to soak up the liquid.
  • 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  • 7. Serve warm with your favorite toppings like syrup, fresh fruit, or powdered sugar.

Notes:

This French Toast Casserole can be prepared the night before and baked in the morning for a hassle-free breakfast.
