Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces Pork Chops
  • 4 cups Potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. In a skillet, brown the pork chops on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the onions until translucent. Stir in the flour and cook for a minute.
  • Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, pour half of the sauce over them, and sprinkle with half of the cheese. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, sauce, and cheese.
  • Place the browned pork chops on top of the potatoes. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the potatoes are tender and the pork chops are cooked through.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to brown the top. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

This casserole is perfect for a cozy family dinner. Serve with a side of green vegetables for a complete meal.
