Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs rutabagas peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Boil the rutabaga cubes in salted water until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and mash.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine mashed rutabagas, heavy cream, melted butter, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, until the top is golden brown.

Notes:

For a twist, add some grated cheese on top before baking.
