Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb cavatelli pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the cavatelli pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the marinara sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to the pot with the ground beef. Stir to combine and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Combine the cooked pasta with the meat sauce. Transfer to a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

This casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated. Just bake it when you're ready to eat.
